Fair Work Commissioner Katrina Harper-Greenwell is no stranger to workplace disagreements. She started her career in Human Resources, with a focus on organisational psychology. Katrina was specifically interested in the impact policies and procedures have on human behaviour and organisational outcomes. During these early experiences Katrina developed a growing interest in industrial relations. In her role as Commissioner, Katrina has a highly impressive record of reaching resolutions without arbitration by adopting an interest-based approach to dispute resolution.
Prior to her appointment to the Fair Work Commission, Katrina was an employment relations consultant who had held senior positions in major mine, road, rail and infrastructure projects both in Australia and internationally. Before becoming the Workplace Relations Manager, VECCI, the Commissioner had gained a lot of her experience in the resources sector.
Katrina gained her mediator accreditation with the Trillium Group in 2007 and is a Professional Member of the Resolution Institute.
